The Coal Industry Stalwarts Meet At Ranchi

The Outperformers' League is an exclusive forum, where fleet owners interact with other stakeholders in the trucking industry. It provides an opportunity for fleet owners to access first-hand information on crucial business-related aspects and concerns. On the 23rd of August, the next session of the OPL – Large Format was held in Ranchi. This time focusing on the demanding coal industry. Not surprisingly, the session had a huge turnover. With a total participation of 125 people; including 48 unique Fleet Owners (30 IKAs and 18 unique Retail Customers), 7 Financiers and 4 Body Builders.

A warm welcome speech by Mr. Shekhar Paranjape gave the session a terrific start. But this was just a glimpse of things soon to follow. Logistics expert, Mr. Sushil Cherian gave an elaborate presentation on ‘Trends, Challenges and Opportunities in Coal Logistics in India’. This gave the audience some extremely useful information, which they could utilise in their business. An equally riveting topic followed, with tyre specialist Mr. Pradip Varaiya giving detailed information on ‘Extend Tyre Life & Increase Your Profits’. All this while, the audience gave their undivided attention to the experts on stage, soaking in the experience and information.

Even Mr. Deepak Rungta, Director, Ananditya Projects, shared a dialogue with the crowd. Passing on his experience, answering their many questions and at the same time praising the OPL initiative. But he wasn’t the only one who was all praises for OPL. Mr. Saumyabrata Das shared an interesting ‘Corporate and OPL Presentation’ that highlighted the benefits each session can bring into any business. However, one of the key highlights of the session was when both him and Mr. Shekhar Paranjape handed over keys of the powerful TORRO 25 and TRUXO 31 to the elated Mr. Laleswar Mahto and Mr. Binay Yadav.

Hosted by the illustrious Mr. Anurag Chaturvedi, the session truly was a success and saw many eminent personalities in attendance. Including Mr. Prabhakar Chouki, GM, Central Coalfields Ltd., Mr. Ashok Kumar Ojha, Sr. Manager, Central Coalfields Ltd. and Mr. Giriraj Kumar Jhawar, AGM, Inland Power Ltd. With a vote of thanks by Mr. Y. N. Singh, the session finally came to a closure over loud applause by the extremely satisfied audience. Following the event, the customers shared their appreciation for the Ranchi OPL event:

Mr. Deepak Rungta (Ananditya Projects): “OPL and Mr. Sushil Cherian’s presentation both were very informative. Even Mr. Varaiya’s presentation was very helpful, especially for my fleet manager.”
Md. Mazhar Ali Sidique (Shalimar Transport): “I am getting mileage of 4 kmpl with TORRO 25 as compared to 3.75 kmpl in my Tata vehicles. This is very cost effective for my business.”
Mr. Laleswar Mahto (LM Transport): “I am very satisfied with the TORRO 25 and its new warranty policy. There is no need of adding extra leaves. It can load 2 extra tons as compared to my other vehicles. I am earning addition of Rs. 250 per trip.”
Mr. Om Prakash (Barphani Roadways): “I am fed up with Tata’s after-sales service. There is no dedicated mechanics from Tata in my area of operation. At least now I have a dedicated onsite support from Mahindra in Khelari.”
