A topmost worry that is
disturbing truck drivers across the business is parking issues which they face
in all parts of the country. Whether it’s loading & unloading at particular
centers or rest breaks along the road, parking issues top the list of all fears.
Truck Terminals provide truck
drivers with such parking facilities. Truck Terminals consist of small
transport offices, and various other facilities which aid loading &
unloading of cargo. But along with the change in functioning of the logistics
industry, it is necessary that truck terminals also change progressively.
Certain facilities such as First
aid, dormitory and restrooms should be provided for betterment of truck drivers
along with necessary services such as garage, service stations & fuel pumps.
Moreover, truck terminals are the ideal place for creating awareness among the
truck drivers on HIV/AIDS & other important information such as Government
road policies, and rules & regulations.
However,
in recent times, the demands for truck terminals are increasing. The current
truck terminals are inefficient to provide truck drivers with adequate
facilities & are poor in maintenance.
We share along a video – ‘Life at
Truck Terminals’ - which is a collaborative effort of Mahindra Navistar and Zee
news to recognize and appreciate the efforts taken by truck drivers to keep the
economy stable.
This video brings more such interesting insights
into the ‘Life at Truck Terminals’:
The Government is taking
necessary actions to solve all parking related issues. The administration plans
to appoint a team of traffic experts to analyze the issues & provide with
effective solutions for improvement of the industry.
This initiative is taken by Mahindra Navistar
under Mahindra Navistar Excellence Awards to recognize and reward
