The Outperformer’s ‘Leap’

Begusarai saw the latest Outperformer’s League conducted by Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd. - Truck & Bus Division.  OPL is an exclusive platform that provides an opportunity to the fleet owners to meet, interact and share information with each other and the other stakeholders of the trucking industry. In Begusarai, the seminar was held in Hotel YuvrajDx on the 10th of June, 2014. The seminar focused on the Petro Tanker segment and was attended by 86 customers who included renowned fleet owners, body builders and financiers.

Mr. Anurag Chaturvedi – Area Business Manager (Bihar & Jharkhand), Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd. – Truck & Bus Division gave a detailed presentation on OPL explaining the various initiatives and customer benefits associated with it.
This was followed by speeches by eminent industry experts.Eminent Petroleum Industry Expert, Mr. V M Venkatachalapathy, Vice President - Fourcee Infrastructure Equipments Pvt. Limited was the first speaker to address the seminar. His presentation provided an overview on bulk liquid logistics as he educated the audience on various container applications, upcoming future trends and how the same container can be used for multiple functions.This  insightful session was followed by an interesting session by Tyre Industry Expert; Mr. Pradip C. Varaiya. He educated the audience with tips about maintenance and upkeep of tyres leading to improvement in operational efficiency. The tyres, if maintained well provide the business significant financial benefits. Mr. Varaiya explained this in detail through his highly interactive and informative session.

The Begusarai OPL did not just witness industry leaders speaking about critical elements of the business,it also provided the customers an opportunity to witness the displayed  TRUXO 25 and TRUXO 31. A client of Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd. – Truck and Bus Division who had recently purchased 4 vehicles was felicitated at the event and was handed the keys of the vehicles purchased.

Mr. Saumyabrata Das, Zonal Business Head – (East), Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd. – Truck and Bus Division summarized the proceedings and gave the audience a perspective on the future direction of OPL and also concluded the seminar with a vote of thanks.

OPL at Indore: Moving from strength to strength

OPL’s latest destination Indore, had a similar success story to share like all its predecessor sessions. Housed in Hotel Fortune Landmark on 9th May 2014, the seminar focused on Market Load segment (which includes all load that originates from Market, Mandi, FMCG etc.) and was attended by 60 customers who included renowned fleet owners.

Mr. Amit Kumar Gupta, Zonal Head (West & Central), Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd. – Truck & Bus Division, played the anchor for the day as he gave a detailed presentation on OPL explaining the various initiatives and customer benefits associated with the OPL. As the event concluded he also summarized the proceedings and gave the audience a perspective on the future direction of OPL, hence playing a perfect host.

Tyre Industry Expert, Mr. Pradip C. Varaiya, who by now has become a regular and popular personality at the OPL, educated the audience with tips about maintenance and upkeep of tyres leading to improvement in operational efficiency. Tyre, the second most expensive element after fuel if maintained well can save critical money for the truck owners.

Mr. Ghulam Gaus Shirani, Chairman – Sagar Automobiles Pvt. Ltd. - Indore, Dealer of Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd. - Truck & Bus Division concluded the seminar with a vote of thanks.

OPL conquers Dhanbad

The OPL in Dhanbad focussed on the coal segment and was attended by over 160 customers who included renowned fleet owners, body builders and financiers. The session happened in Hotel Cocoon, providing a perfect platform for fleet owners to meet, interact and share information with each other and the other stakeholders of the trucking industry,

Mr. Anurag Chaturvedi, – Area Business Manager, Mahindra Trucks and Buses welcomed everyone and gave a detailed presentation on OPL explaining the various initiatives and benefits associated with the same. The session was followed by a powerful session on tyre maintenance by Tyre Industry Expert, Mr. Pradip Varaiya. He explained the importance of tyre maintenance and its direct correlation with better efficiency and profits. His quick and smart tips were appreciated by all.

The second guest speaker for the day was motivational speaker, Mr. Vijay Batra. His highly inspirational presentation on how to motivate transport employees and drivers opened up new avenues in employee management. His session covered topics like self-belief and outperformance and struck a certain chord with the audience.

Like all OPLs, the customers were all praise for the Dhanbad OPL. “Mahindra is always very innovative. Mr. Varaiya’s presentation is very informative. It will definitely help me to increase my profit. Mr. Batra’s speech was fantastic. I never expected to attend such a seminar in Dhanbad. The session also saw the induction of 5 new customers of Mahindra Truck and Buses, who were felicitated and welcomed to the family by handing over the keys.

WHEN THE GIANTS MET AT BENGALURU!

Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. – Truck and Bus Division organised yet another insightful knowledge sharing seminar, under the aegis of its forum for the transport ecosystem - The Outperformers’ League (OPL) - at Bengaluru on 27th May, 2014. The OPL seminar, which took place in Hotel Fortune Park JP, focused on the Market Load segment (includes all loads that originate from Market, Mandi, FMCG etc.) and was attended by 92 Fleet Owners, Body Builders and Financiers operating in this segment.

The seminar started with Mr. P. B. Varadarajan, Area Business Manager, Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd. – Truck & Bus Division giving a detailed presentation on OPL explaining the various initiatives and customer benefits associated with the OPL. The introductory seminar was followed by an insightful conversation with Supply Chain Expert, Capt. Yogesh Kundra. Capt. Kundra explained the current state of manual truck hiring process and the role of technology in bringing about efficiency thus leading to higher profits. He educated the audience on the various trends and issues associated with the market load segment and the seminar was much appreciated by the audience

The sessions and the speakers attracted a lot of praise for the Bengaluru OPL. We found a fan in Mr.  G. R. Shanmugappa - President, All India Motor Transport Congress (AIMTC), who along with many others appreciated the one of a kind initiative by any manufacturer, to provide insights about the future trends and growth prospects of the Market Load Segment and the entire trucking ecosystem.

The session also saw the display of the powerful TRUXO 31-170.
