Mahindra
& Mahindra Ltd. – Truck and Bus Division organised yet another insightful
knowledge sharing seminar, under the aegis of its forum for the transport
ecosystem - The Outperformers’ League (OPL) - at Bengaluru on 27th May, 2014.
The OPL seminar, which took place in Hotel Fortune Park JP, focused on the Market
Load segment (includes all loads that originate from Market, Mandi, FMCG etc.)
and was attended by 92 Fleet Owners, Body Builders and Financiers operating in
this segment.
The
seminar started with Mr. P. B. Varadarajan, Area Business Manager,
Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd. – Truck & Bus Division giving a detailed
presentation on OPL explaining the various initiatives and customer benefits
associated with the OPL. The introductory seminar was followed by an insightful
conversation with Supply Chain Expert, Capt. Yogesh Kundra.
Capt. Kundra explained the current state of
manual truck hiring process and the role of technology in bringing about
efficiency thus leading to higher profits. He educated the audience on the
various trends and issues associated with the market load segment and the
seminar was much appreciated by the audience
The
sessions and the speakers attracted a lot of praise for the Bengaluru OPL. We
found a fan in Mr. G. R. Shanmugappa - President, All India Motor
Transport Congress (AIMTC), who along with many others appreciated the one
of a kind initiative by any manufacturer, to provide insights about the future
trends and growth prospects of the Market Load Segment and the entire trucking
ecosystem.
The session also saw
the display of the powerful TRUXO 31-170.

OPL since in inception
in 2011 has been moving from strength to strength. More than 60 seminars spread
over 20 cities across the countries have seen participation of over 7,000 stakeholders.
