Trucking Industry discusses their 'Wheels' of Fortune

At Mahindra & Mahindra, we believe in creating robust communication platforms for our partners. One of such initiative is the Outperformers’ League (OPL), an exclusive platform that provides an opportunity to the fleet owners to meet, interact and share information with each other and the stakeholders of the trucking industry.

Kolkatta had the privilege to host a recent OPL. The OPL seminar took place at Hotel The Park on 2nd May, 2014. The seminar focused on Operating Cost Optimization and was attended by around 50 customers which included renowned fleet owners and fleet managers.

The guests were welcomed by Mr. Kailash Hedge, Key Account Manager (East), Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd. – Truck & Bus Division, who also gave a presentation on various initiatives and customer benefits associated with the OPL.

This was followed by presentation by eminent Tyre Industry Expert, Mr. Pradip C. Varaiya. He, through his highly interactive and informative session educated the audience with tips about maintenance and upkeep of tyres. His session focused around maintaining tyres leading to improvement in operational efficiency.
Another very interesting presentation was the one on after sales service (Agility, Quality and Reach) by Mr. Shantanu Khanra, Key Account Manager – Service (East), Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd.– Truck & Bus Division. Mr. Saumyabrata Das, Zonal Business Head – East, Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd. – Truck & Bus Division summarized the proceedings and gave the audience a perspective on the future direction of OPL.  Mr. Pradip Bajaj, Managing Director – Mohan Motor Business Pvt. Ltd., Dealer of Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd. - Truck & Bus Division concluded the seminar with a vote of thanks.

The seminar, like all OPLs provided the fleet owners a brilliant networking opportunity with customers, industry experts, officials from the Mahindra Truck & Bus team and the Dealership team. The lessons by industry experts on tyre maintenance and its impact on the entire trucking ecosystem were well appreciated by everyone. The stamp of affirmation was when one customer commented on how we were the first vehicle manufacturer who oriented them to the topic on tyre maintenance.
The participants walked out of the seminars, signing praises of the Kolkatta OPL.
